Daddy's Girls and Boys - Family stories for human voice, drums and saxophone

In Krisztián Grecsó's stories, the tellable past that stays with us and which we pass on to our children is forever present. Two members of a famous family of musicians - father and son - will provide the musical improvisation for these archaic yet also modern tales. Every evening is unique, unrepeatable. László Dés's saxophone and András Dés's percussion will respond to a selections of the author's latest writings, using the language of music to paint the world of fathers and their children.

Krisztián Grecsó was born in the Hungarian village of Szegvár. He was an editor for the journal Bárka, editor-in-chief of the magazine Nők Lapja, and the vice-president of the Society of Hungarian Authors. Since 2009, he has been responsible for the prose section of the magazine Élet és Irodalom. His books have been met with great acclaim, and he is today one of Hungary's best-selling authors. His numerous awards include the Attila József Award, AEGON Art Award, Sándor Bródy Prize, Tibor Déry Award and the Libri Literary Public Prize. László Dés is a Kossuth, Liszt and Prima Primissima award-winning saxophonist and composer. The instruments of this outstanding jazz musician are the soprano and tenor saxophone, and his play is characterised by a sensitive, ‘subjective' sound and an improvisational way of driving the melody. András Dés is a percussionist. He has developed a unique drum set for himself over the years, and also plays a number of hand-held percussion instruments, including the can and the gardon, instruments from the Latin American tradition, and framed drums from around the world.

Közjegyző az emeleten - a csavaros vígjáték Moravetz Levente remekül összehozta a korábbi televíziós szappanopera-szereplőket (Szőke Zoltán és Gyebnár Csekka – Barátok közt; valamint Madár Veronika és Suhajda Dániel – Jóban Rosszban) ebben a különleges vígjátékban.

Az előadás a műfajtól megszokott módon nincs híján humornak, játékosságnak, A mosoly országa a kibékíthetetlen világnézeti ellentétek, kulturális és társadalmi különbségek komoly kérdéseit járja körül, és ez a világ első operettje, mely nem vidám végkifejlettel zárul.
