Adrián Placenti
Composer, director, pianist and researcher born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and dedicated to tango music. He published several recordings, including "Tango Suite Open Doors". Among the concerts offered are his participations in the BATango World Cup organized by the city of Buenos Aires, as well as tours of the US and Europe. Academician of the "Academia Porteña del Lunfardo", as a researcher, his works related to tango were published by "Universidad de las Artes" and "Universidad Católica" de Argentina

Argentine tango is a musical movement known iconically by the years of the big orchestras for dancing and by other side by the concert music by Astor Piazzolla. However, its history and present contain interesting aspects for which it is worth taking a tour and getting to know.
The proposal is to make an illustrated story with musical examples for the different moments of the musical genre, highlighting those characteristics that define them.

To enriching our way of listening to tango will give us more resources to interpret it in our dance.
To make more deep the way you listen to it.
To know better the tango basic musical elements: the rhythm, the melody, the orchestration, the structures and different kind of tangos.
The tango orchestras and their styles.
At the same time interpret with palms and with the body to incorporate the concepts into the movement as an interpretive resource.
The workshop is aimed at all types of audiences with the desire to know a little more about the music of tango to take it to enrich the dance.
