The piano art of Zoltán Fejérvári promises a perfect Chopin interpretation, while the string quartet of Puccini performed by the chamber orchestra will sound like a complete opera played on strings. In the second half of the concert, one of the world’s most well-known transcripts will be performed: Carmen as reimagined on strings and percussions.

The concert is the culmination of a new collaboration between the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra and the Academy of Music during the present season. Led by István Várdai, within the framework of professional courses, the Orchestra gave lectures regarding the knowledge necessary for the perfect orchestral performance. The most talented students were invited to perform with the world-famous chamber Orchestra this evening.

Our offer

It is probably impossible to summarize this miraculous story of Mowgli, Bagheera who escaped from the cage of the human society, the wise Baloo, the mysterious Kaa or the vengeful Shere Khan. The Jungle Book is about birth and death, solitude and partnership, about the magic of youth – so everything which can happen with a kid who had grown up with wolves.

On this November evening, the guitarist Mike Gotthard, who is equally receptive to the music of jazz, blues, rock and funk, will invite the audience into his own jazz-rock world where the instruments and melodies take centre stage.
