As one of the earliest masterpieces of modern drama, Ibsen’s play depicts common people, a middle-class couple faceing their own personal tragedy of false relations embodied in a false society. All these problems, including the opportunities of a married woman for independence and self-fulfillment in a male dominated world, after 140 years are still relevant today.

After the February concert, in May the BFO will perform two more of Brahms' Hungarian Dances, a challenging concerto, and a symphony that traverses the depths of the musical landscape.
A 60-minute tour starts every day at 13:30, 15:00 and 16:30 in English. Please note that the auditorium is closed for visits during rehearsals. Guided tours are not available during performances.
