The first day of Ritmo greets visitors with the founding fathers of world music, captivating Hungarian heritage, and a choice selection of music from across 3 continents. Legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo sing their signature zulu mbube, Sabor de Gràcia bring Catalan rumba, Sena Dagadu shows her Ghanian and Hungarian roots with musicians from both countries, trio Coladera mould Cape Verdean, Brazilian, and Portuguese melodies into one. Maija Kauhanen and Tuuletar do a fresh take on Finnish folk, honorary Hungarian Tcha Limberger and Kalotaszeg Trio will capture hearts with the beauty of traditional music from Kalotaszeg.
